I got this recipe from a friend who was already addicted to making these. I tried them and now I can say I´m addicted as well!
These little guys are little energy boosters and full of omega-3-fatty-acids, magnesium, anti-oxidants, Vitamin E and so on. Short: They´re so healthy! And may I just say how AMAZING they taste?! So that´s a win-win-win situation. They are packed with nutrients, they taste INCREDIBLE (seriously!) and they are so pretty to look at!
You can eat these beautys as a pre-workout snack, a normal snack in-between or as a dessert!
Want to give it a try? Here´s the recipe:
Biscuits:
- 1 cup dates
- 1 cup pecans
- 1 tsp vanilla extract or anything with vanilla (vanilla powder)
- 4 tbsp cocoa powder (make sure it´s without added sugars)
Filling:
- 3/4 cup cashews (soaked)
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp sweetener (Agave or Maple syrup)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract or anything with vanilla (vanilla powder)
In a mixer blend all ingredients together, of course separating the dough of the filling and the biscuits. The blending process may take a while if your blender isn´t as strong.
Then make sure you have a little space and a sink or towel next to you, because things are going to get a little messy.
Take the dough of the biscuits and roll it out to your desired height. With a cookie cutter cut out as many as you can. Feel free to cut out hearts or whatever shape you want (or/and have at home). After that take a spoon and spread the filling onto one of the biscuits, place another one on top and set onto a plate. Repeat.
Keep all your Oreos or as they are raw – Raweos in the fridge. Have a great time making and eating them! & let me know if you´re now as addicted to them as me! X
Wow, it looks amazing and guess what I have all the ingredients at home, yay.
