As I wrote in some previous posts, I am obsessed with my homemade Bounties. They´re just incredibly amazing, healthy (more or less-depending on how much of which chocolate you use) and I just can not stop eating them.
So now I´m going to share my spins on the recipe, when you make them you will understand..trust me.
Also this is finally a recipe again, I haven´t posted any since the Blogging U courses, please do tell me if you want more recipes or if you are happy with reading stories and poems…?!
Version 1: This version is definitely the healthier one, but also the one which crumbles easily.
What you´ll need (I eyeballed pretty much everything):
- 2 cups coconut-flakes or shredded Coconut
- 1/3 cup coconut oil
- 1/4 cup agave sirup or honey
- vanilla extract (just a tiny little bit)
- chocolate (optional: mixed with coconut oil for the consistency)
Add the vanilla extract to the coconut flakes, mix well. Add the melted coconut oil and the agave. Put everything on a plate or in any form and press down firmly, so that everything is more or less one. Put in the freezer for about 45 minutes to an hour. After you´ve taken them out, cut them in whatever size and shape you like and I´ve found that drizzling the melted chocolate on works best, but feel free to try any other method.
Version 2: This is way easier to mould and keep together as one bar, but for me, it doesn´t taste as natural as the first version.
What you´ll need:
- 2 cups coconut-flakes or shredded Coconut
- 1/3 cup coconut oil
- 1/4 cup agave sirup or honey
- 1/5 cup margarine or butter
- 1/4 cup flour of choice
- vanilla extract (just a tiny little bit)
- chocolate (optional: mixed with coconut oil for the consistency)
Repeat the same process as above, just adding the margarine/butter and flour in as well.
If you do make this, let me know and I hope you enjoyed or will enjoy making and getting addicted to these bounties! Until then
