Todays task is to use a map as a muse. So let me tell you how to come to one of my favorite places in this world so far…I´m sure I´ll get to see a lot more, but this one has a deep meaning to it. It´s a place of happiness. And now I´ll show you the way there.
- When you´ve gotten out of the train and down the stairs make sure you´re on the side where the “Dunkin´Donut” store is.
- Leave the station building and you should find yourself looking at a rather big bric building, to be exact, you should be looking directly at the entrance to the parking entrance.
- Take a turn to the left and walk past the bus staition, smiling at the bus driver, because driving a bus all day long is not something to amusing and a simple smile can really brighten someones day.
- Stop at the red light and cross the street at your right at the green light.
- Walk past the bank and along this one way street, yes the one with the cute trees on the sidewalk.
- You should be walking past “Barnes and Noble”, don´t!
- Please stop there and take a look inside. I never could just walk by there, it always screamed “come, come in!”…so you shouldn´t either. Maybe buy a book or two, because we all know that books are magical.
- Once you´ve managed to only buy two books instead of eleven, you should be standing on the street again, looking at a store across the street called “Panera Bread”. You deserve a little something, so do go in there and order a smoothie or anything you like. I always took the berry smoothie, since they made it taste like heaven and I could never get enough of that..
- As you come out, cross the street and walk in the direction where the street takes a small bend. You should see a tall bric building before you.
- This is the library, equally amazing as the bookstore you´ve just visited and this ones definitely the budget-friendlier one…
- Walk past the nail studio and the italian restaurant…you just had a snack.
- Now you should stand right next to the pre-heaven on earth…Whole Foods… Oh how much I love it. Before you pass and walk on, give the old man with the grey hair sitting there a little change, he needs it and it´s not much to you.
- Now cross the street and walk straight on.
- You should be standing next to a massive church now. If it´s open, take a look inside.
- As you walk on, you might notice the trees getting bigger and all in all everything getting greener. The houses are also more homey now.
- Stop at the stop sign and take a look around you. Isn´t is beautiful.
- Cross the street and continue breathing in the fresh air. A little later you should stand right next to a big lawn with trees planed symmetrically on it. If that´s the case, you´re on the right track.
Walk straight on, past the field. You´re almost there. - When the street ends, you should again see a lawn before you and depending on whether the trees still have their leaves or it´s winter, you can see the lake, as big as the sea.
- Cross the road and walk toward the lake, you should be standing next to a little house. Continue on towards the lake and onto the rocks separating the lake and the tiny road as well as the lawn.
- Climb further down, sit down on one of the rocks, you shouldn´t be able to see anyone from here and no one should be able to see you. It should be just you, the sea, the rocks, just you and nature.
- You´ve reached your destination. Stay as long as you wish or rather as long as you need.
I thoroughly enjoyed this post! And I can never walk past a Barns and Nobles either. I actually bought two books this past Sunday. 😉 and the rocks and sea are therapy. I wish I lived closer to the ocean! I do love our mountains though. Trail running is good therapy too…

Thanks! Yes, walking past barns and nobles is like walking by one million kids saying “Come give me a hug”…okay that wasn´t the best comparison…
I don´t live there (near the sea) anymore, I wish I would. Like you, I have a lot of mountains close to me, but not as close to just go trail running… I bet it is really good therapy as well, another kind as the sea and rocks, but definitely one.
Thanks for answering! I always love hearing from you:-) XO
