Last time I talked about cookbooks as presents, this time I´ll talk about what to get the writer in your life, if you didn´t already guess that from the title;-) Anyways…I consider myself as a writer and actually anyone who enjoys writing and does it in their free time is considered a writer in my opinion. The person doesn´t have to be a writer who publishes what he/she writes, she/he can just journal a lot and/or write a diary to be a writer. So, let´s just get into the presents, shall we?!
- beautiful, good quality Pens/Pencils
I know how much I enjoy a beautiful pen. I mean I will write with it a lot and look at it, so it is a pretty amazing thing to have a beautiful one. But a pen with which I like to write a lot, isn´t necessarily a beautiful one. It has to really write good and be easy to handle. If you´re not a writer you might think I´m crazy to say “easy to handle”, but if you´ve written with many many pens, you will notice a difference in the way they write and also how easy they are to handle, meaning if they´re heavy or light, hard to put the ink on paper or if it just smothers down like butter on toast, if the ink is good or if it runs when you write and leaves seas on inks at some places, while other places you have to trace over the written to see anything.
Such a gift will really make the writer in your life very happy and it is such a useful thing to have. (I myself don´t spend much on pens/pencils and I know fellow writers who don´t do so either, since we use them up so quickly. That being said at the side…) - Pencils for on the go
There are pens/Pencils out there with these things on them with which you can hang them onto anywhere you want to. Just think pf practical things. - A journal or many ones
That is always something a writer can´t have enough of. I personally have so many journals in my room; some completely full, some still have a little bit of space to write and some only have a few things written in them. I just recently got such a beautiful journal, very high quality, an amazing cover-just perfect and I was so incredibly thrilled about it!
- Beautiful paper
Something to which a writers heart jumps high. It can be paper for writing letters with engraved or printed designs on it, thick paper for sketching or simple white quality paper. We writers like paper, yes.;-) - Simply a big block full of white paper along with a few pens and pencils
We need paper to sketch things, to write down our thoughts, to plan…We use a lot of paper and we constantly need more… - Books, Books, Books
We don´t only write a lot, we also read. So books are perfect as well. - A gift card for a massage
I sometimes write so much that I´m very tense in my back and shoulders and a massage would be so highly appreciated! - A handwritten letter
You don´t know how much we love getting something written especially from someone who actually put time in it, thought of us and tried their best to write us a beautiful letter. The most beautiful letters are the ones that some from the heart. I´ll be posting something on writing letters soon, so stay tuned.
I hope that helped you out! If you have anything I should add to this list, please let me know, also if it helped you and if you agree with the points! Oh and I´d really love to hear how you like my new blog design or if you found the other one better?!
Until then!

Gosh, I’d just be so thoroughly happy with a day of solitude (except for lunch & a Margarita (or two)) spent working on my novel with no interruptions, no pone, no doorbell, no tv, nothing…just me & my characters. I miss them so much.
