I haven´t done any post on my week since this one, so I thought I´d just do one now, to let you in on my (running) journey. Enjoy!
Monday
I went running for 1:25 h with a friend. It´s really different running with someone. That wasn´t the first time, but I do think it´s a really different experience. I´d usually consider myself as an individual. I can do sport in groups, but I can go much harder when I´m alone or on my own, doing my thing. But running with somebody is actually really refreshing. You talk, which I was scared or say skeptical of, because I didn´t know if I´d get stitches in the side. But that wasn´t and isn´t the case, to my surprise. It´s actually quite fun running with someone else.
Tuesday
I went to the gym on that day. The day I did my desk makeover wich took me quite a long time. I also went to see a friend, after which I only had a little time to do sport. 45 minutes to be exact. Driving to the gym and back took 10 minutes in total so I had 35 minutes to actually break a sweat. It was abs and obliques day. I really killed my workout, if I may say so. My breaks were 15s breaks from one exercise to another. I not only did my whole core as well as my back, but shoulders and legs wich took a bit of the pressure away from my core and put in something different. Those 35 minutes were probably the hardest workout I´ve ever done.
Wednesday
I was so incredibly sore that day, so the only thing I did was Yoga and the two challenges I´m doing right now. Doing yoga really made me happy. I ende the day with a bath after my yoga. The bath bomb was the “Yoga Bomb” from Lush, which I got from a friend who really knows me. A perfect evening!
Thursday
It was raining all day. Today was my second running day in the week. I was so incredibly unmotivated to go running in the evening in the dark in the rain… I debated with myself if I should run on the treadmill in the gym for 30 minutes. I almost did go there when I just convinced myself to go outside. I didn’t want to break my resolution to go running three times a week in the first week of January. So I went outside. It was okay, but hard at first. Then when I really started sweating it became much easier. My leg muscles also seemed to be contracting and running on their own. I didn’t do anything but look where I was going. It was amazing! I ran about 10k in 1:20h. The only mistake I made was to stretch outside. I got really cold. My legs were red icicles. A hot shower and a while with my yoga pants underneath the blanket took care of that.
Friday
Gym day. It was so incredibly filled. Probably because it´s the beginning of January and everyone´s getting on track…Anyways I did upper body and butt on that day. I spend quite a long time in the gym. Afterwards my arms were shaking when I just picked up my water bottle, that´s how hard I went. Felt pretty weird, but also rewarding. I had such a great dinner, beans with veggies and a salad.
Saturday and Sunday
The cold I stared getting on Friday evening totally knocked me out this weekend. I spent all day in my bed. The only thing that was really running a marathon was my nose. Horrible! I was so happy about really being on track with my two challenges, that the pause now is just freaking me out. But my body and my aching head tells me that there is nothing to do about it. Just gotta rest. How was your week? Do you like these weekly recap posts?
I love reading your articles! I admire your dedication and hard work!

Hey, love your post just wondering if you use a YouTube video for the yoga? If so could let me know which one or who as trying to find some good yoga moves.

Thank you so much!
Actually I sometimes use Youtube, but I use a german channel. But most of the time I go freestyle. I do the sun salutation and the moon salutation, sometimes I find stuff on Pinterest, too. I can do a Yoga Routine, if you´re interested.
Thanks for commenting:-)
