When you read the title of this post, you might have wondered what a “Wild List” is. So let me tell you. A Wild List is a List (duh…) of things that are usually not the social norm. I´m not talking about anything criminal, I mean things like go someplace alone. Because usually when you go out, you go with someone else. This List is inspired by my friend over at JuniDesiréesBlog, you might know her, since I collaborated with her on two posts (My Life List and My New Years Resolutions).
She created a project for herself to gain confidence in herself and to be more comfortable in public, because she has been struggling with that. The Project is called the Sparkle Project. I´ve decided to get inspired by it and tag along on a few things I think could fit in my life as well. Including this list. For her list check out her post. Now I wish you happy reading with this list and maybe you will do some of those crazy, fun things as well. I´ll update this once I complete something. Enjoy!
- Wear hair accessories
- Wear a braid I did myself
- Get a fringe
- Wear a cute dress to work
- Go to the movies alone
- Go to the park a few miles away
- Go for a walk around my home
- Dance at the beach
- Sing at the beach
- Sing out loud in a mall
- Photograph a sunrise (again)
- Talk to a stranger
- Make a new friend
- Get a pen pal
- Call my dear friend across the sea via Skype
- Ring a loved one
- Say I love you
- Confess something
- Post something scary on my blog/social media
- Go deep and vulnerable with someone
- Give money to the cashier and pay the person behind me
- Give someone a box of chocolates
- Give someone a picture quote
- Give flowers to someone
- Volunteer
- Go to a Zumba class
- Draw a self-portrait (again)
- Guest post for a blog/website
- Submit to a journal/magainze
- Cook a new meal
- Go to the Yoga Festival on my own
- Get on a bus/train and get out, whenever I feel like getting out
- Submit to a photo competition
- Be in a performance – E.g. choir, production, dance
- Go fruit picking – strawberries
- Take a cooking class
The opinions of others don’t really matter. I also felt inspired by Juni and will do a Wild list, but I’ll incorporate it in my Never-ending bucket list. 😀
You have some nice things there that I’d like to explore myself: like taking a bus and getting out whenever I feel like. Exploring new places is a good hobby to take. 🙂

That´s so true, I just need to really get that into my head and heart. This list is supposed to help me with that!
That sounds amazing! If you have your list up, I´ll totally go check it out!
Thank you! Feel free to do the same…so I´m not alone;-) Yes, that´s so my thing. I love to just walk and walk and see where I come out at:-) Thanks so much for your comment! XO

I’m not sure if what people think plays a role for me but two things I really want to do but I’m afraid of include class III Rapids in my canoe and a week-long back packing trip. These might sound crazy but I can handle Class II and my parents have had me backpacking my entire life, so they are a simple steps up for me but still scary.

They don´t sound crazy to me. I think you should just take a deep deep breath and ban all negative thoughts out of your head and only think ” I can do this, I can do this, I can do this…” and then just go for it. Don´t think about it. Just do it. Sign up for your canoe class (I´m not an expert in canoeing but it sure sounds really fun…) and book your airplane. NOW!!! Like right now! You can do it, i´m sure. Now please go and book that ticket. XOXO

Haha! Thanks! Luckily it is actually all completely possible within a short drive from my house so no real need. Purchasing backpack gear is the only financial blocker but one I hope to do accomplish over the next couple years. Now canoeing class III Rapids might be legitimately crazy. I know people who die every year from it, no matter how prepared or experienced they are, so I might continue accessing that one.

Great list! I’ve done all but # 11, 12, 16, 29 and 32 over the years. I am a big believer in doing things by oneself! One of my favorite things on your wild list is giving flowers to someone! I grown them in my garden and give bouquets to friends or neighbors, or even my husband. I buy inexpensive vases at a thrift shop and then no one has to worry about getting the vase returned. Talk about big smiles! 💐 Have fun fulfilling your wild list! 😀

Thank you! Wow! That´s so incredibly amazing! How was singing in a mall for you? What did you sing?
I´m starting to be more of a believer of that (doing things by oneself), you start to be more open…
That´s an amazing idea with the vases. If you don´t mind, I´ll totally pick that one up. I can imagine those smiles… I think if I got flowers, especially from an own garden, my smile would be so broad, my cheeks would hurt…;-)
Thank you so much for your words an support! (And sorry for the late answer) XO

Oops! I missed the singing at the mall! 😬
The flowers are fun to do. When I lived in California A friend and I traded bouquets. She would bring me some flowers from her garden, then when they had wilted, I’d bring her some flowers in the same vase. 💐
Also, not all bouquets have to be big! It’s the thought that counts! 😊

Thank you! Really, I think 6 and 9 are pretty okay. It´s more 11 that freaks me out…. Thanks for your comment and sorry for my late reply…XO

It’s alright, Little Sunshine (did I tell you that I love your name?), everyone is busy with their lives. I think 6 and 11 scares me more than 9. Maybe I should go forward and just do that. Haha. Good luck with your list. 🙂

Really? I think 6 is easier to do than 11… Yes, I think you should! Good luck!
