Since a lot of people are fuzzing on about Valentines Day, I decided not to let it get by totally unnoticed on my blog. That´s why I decided to dig up an old post and pimp it up a bit with photos. This is a very old one, from the 9th of February 2015. Well a year, okay….
Anyways, it was really fun rereading it. I used so many exclamation marks…and I was such a hopeless romantic then. Don´t get me wrong, I still am, but not as much anymore. Valentines Day for me this year will be grabbing a coffee with somebody, watching a Movie and pampering myself…What are your plans?
Note: I did get rid of some exclamation points and changed up the text a little bit. If you want to read original post and see what I wrote like a year back, then go ahead and do that;-)
So Valentine’s Day is around the corner and I know that most of my friends have no ideas what to do! That’s why I came up with a few fun ideas and activities to do on that special day! It doesn’t matter whether you have a Valentine this year or you don’t! A Girls or Guys day can be just as fun and these ideas work for any circumstance (maybe you guys have to add drink wine/beer and play on the Playstation…)! Have fun!
- Go to the cinema
This is a classic- it’s very fun and afterwards you definitely have something to talk about- maybe while you’re having a coffee, or taking a walk down-town… - Have a Pick-Nick indoors/outdoors
-with a nice blanket and fruit and orange juice. Invite your friends over and have everyone bring something- a cake, fruit- whatever. Or have a pick nick with your valentine with flower deco… It maybe also really fun to do it inside and look at the blizzard outside, if you don’t happen to live in a warm place. If you do- go outside! - Have coffee
Go to Starbucks or in a nice café! I prefer the nice cafés, just because they are much cuter than Starbucks and they need to survive, too… And no one said you need anyone to enjoy a nice warm cup of coffee…
- Take a long walk
-through the winter wonderland! If you don’t have any snow- no worries having a walk is always really fun with friends and can be so romantic with your boyfriend! It´s a great opportunity to catch up and just talk without pressure or distractions. - Have a movie night at home
-with homemade snacks and fun movies – it’s sure to be a huge blast! I recommend the movie “Valentines Day” – that´s what I´m watching this year. If you have any other recommendations, be sure to leave them in the comments down below.
- Go iceskating
– it’s mostly an outdoor activity and it’s sooo much fun! Maybe you can warm up afterwards with some hot chocolate! - Cook a fancy dinner together
– Borrow cooking books at the library or check out cooking blogs online and get in the kitchen! Set the table nicely with beautiful decors and candles. This maybe an idea for a girls night! I don’t know a lot of men who are really into cooking, but maybe he’ll do it with and for you! - A perfect Girls Day
Shopping, spa, and dinner with a lot of movies!!!! No more to say here….
ohh and don´t forget the balloons…
- Also a classic: Eat in a restaurant! This is so much fun but also more pricy than any of the other ideas! But if you´re feeling like it, go for it!
- Go to the theater!
I personnally love the theater! No kidding- you can dress up and see a nice play- live! It’s also a bit more pricy than the cinema but the atmosphere is just so different! And if you’re feeling “Oh-so-fancy” go to a restaurant afterwards! Or just have a casual tea at a casual café…
- Do sports together
(and cook afterwards) You can just go jogging, or get the computer out and do workouts on YouTube… Borrow books from the library and try out new sports- maybe yoga!?! Get inspired and go sweat! It is healthy and not only your body will thank you!! - Get creative- do DIYs! There are so many things you can do! Go through Pinterest, Youtube, Blogs and get creative!
- Look through old photos
Get out your old photo books- scroll through your old selfies- ask your parents for baby photos and have fun creating a memory by bringing up old ones!!! - Make music together
If you play an instrument or if you like to sing, get together and make some noise! - Play board or card games
You can have so much fun doing this! Sometimes you have a really interesting conversation , while playing games or give each other tips or just play without mercy! - Bake together
and have a nice tea while eating your creations. - Go dancing
-to a real ball or just at home- it doesn’t matter, as long as your moving and having fun, it’s all good!
- Do the Boyfriend/Girlfriend/Best friend Tag
Questions en masse on the internet. I personally find them rather entertaining to watch and you get to know each other a little better! - Do “Would you rather…” Quizzes
– also a really fun way to get to know each other’s craziest preferences!! 😉 - Draw a picture for/of eachother
no matter which technique, get creative and you’ll have something to remember this day forever! (and ever….;-) I´ll leave this, just because I love how much I was into Valentines Day and now see how much has changed in this year…..)
I hope you found this helpful and please let me know what you did on this day or if it´s just like any other day for you!
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY
Have coffee! That is my favorite one 🙂
