I have started and going strong. I started on my book. On a book. One of the points of my life list…it´s happening…I´m not quite sure if this will be something in the end, but I´m just giving it a shot. I worked on the idea for the book, the novel, in my head for a few weeks now. Last week I just sat down and started. Every time I take another 30 minutes to write, I don´t want to stop. It´s become my kind of escape from reality. I love writing. It gives me so much.
I will do my best to keep on posting something on here.
What I wanted to share with you today is a poem a character in my book wrote. Hope you enjoy!
Never trust a man
As gentle as him
Never let him invade your heart
It´s too dangerous
Never let him dig deep in our soul
It´ll bring up everything you´ve been hiding
Never let him come to you
He´ll only be kind
You don´t want that
Don´t let him near you
It´s for your safety
Otherwise you´ll let grow
A friendship that is
A true lifesaver in every situation
A friendship that is
A blossoming flower
Growing to be a field
Full of happiness
A friendship that is
Worth living for
Worth fighting for
Worth everything
So never say never
Please do tell me your thoughts in the comments! I´m so curious to know!
Love is risky and leaves you vulnerable. Friends can be kept at a distance, a loved one lives in the heart. Best of luck with your novel.

Wow. How amazingly said. That is so true. Thank you:-) Do you mind if I put that into the book, just like you said it? I can include your name if you want to.

How exciting, writing a book! I just started editing mine today – the hardest part is yet to come, I think!
Best of luck with your writing, just keep that spirit up and you’ll do great! 🙂
Oh, and I love the poem, it tells me so much about your character from just a few lines. The perfect way to do it!

Good luck and happy writing on your new endeavor! I like your poem! It strikes that it might be about someone having to learn to trust another person and letting them into their life. I hope to hear more about your writing as it progresses! 🙂

Great piece. I like how you outlined the characters insecurity and acknowledgment of what could come from love. The person seems perplexed and scared to be vulnerable. Where did you get your inspiration from?

Thank you so much. Your words make my heart really warm. I´m glad it seems like that. That is a big part of her.
Interesting question. Do you mean where I got the idea for the characters and the story or the inspiration for the poem and her as a character?

The latter.
You’re very welcome! I’m glad I could bring you some joy. 🙂

Well… a little bit is taken from my own life and my experiences, some a little while back, but still present. I also get ideas when reading, but probably the most was just letting my brain work and getting inspiration from pretty much anywhere, relatives, friends..as I said, my own life…it´s kind of working off something inside of me… to be 100% honest with you…wow this is crazy, I´m telling you all this…
You did bring me joy:-) thanks again!

To me, this poem says: don’t despair of the “friend zone”, because friendship can grow into love. ❤

Wow. Yes, that is definitely an interpretation. Let´s see what that friendship will become…
But you´re right the best love stories are best friends marrying…<3

I enjoyed the poem, it makes me want to know the character. I can already see he/she is a caring person, but have been deeply hurt. He/She knows the value of love. Am I right? 🙂

I´m very glad you did. And those words are so encouraging and very motivating. It´s amazing to know you want to know more about her (it´s a she, btw;-))). Makes me want to write, write, write…
You are absolutely right. She is very loving, deep in her, but that hides under the shield of a hurt soul. XO
