The Best Healthy Pancake Recipe

I love pancakes. Okay, who doesn´t? So since the traditional recipes aren´t the healthiest, I´m always looking and trying around with alternatives, making the pancakes as healthy as possible. I´ve tried many, many different things. I shared my favorites with you a while back. That was before I wanted to try a ToneItUp recipe for pancakes. I didn´t have all the ingredients and I also didn´t want to just use half a banana, so I adjusted things a bit. How it turned out? Well…AMAZING! The pancakes were sweet, fluffy, a little creamy, just everything you want a good pancake to be! And wait for it: They are healthy! And gluten-free. I was just in pancake heaven when I was eating these goodies. So why don´t you give them a try and start your week right?!:-) Btw. they are great before or after a good morning workout!

What you´ll need
(serves one)

  • 1 banana
  • 1,5 tbsp soy milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • agave syrup

Add the banana, the egg, the milk and the cinnamon in a bowl or a blender. Either mash things up and together or give everything a good blend. Then slowly pour the batter into your preheated and sprayed pan. After about 4 minutes, lift up an edge of your pancake to look if it´s golden brown yet. If so, carefully flip the pancake and let it cook for about 2-3 minutes on the other side as well. Remove from your pan and decorate on your plate however you like, there are no limits;-). Pour your agave syrup on top and enjoy!
