About Self-Love // Wisdom Wednesday

“Be softer with you. You are a breathing thing. A memory to someone. A home to a life.” – Nayyirah Waheed

I read this quote the other day, listening to soft music and needed to get my hands expressing some thoughts, so here we go.

Other posts of mine on self-love:

This is for anyone sometimes struggling with self-love, beauty and acceptance of who you are.

My dear, reader, listener, you are a wonderful, breathing thing.
Your body is artwork.
All that Biology in school, the endless lessons about the human body, the complex reactions and functions, the tasks of different tiny living cells in your body.

Every day your body is achieving the impossible. Without you even knowing it.

It restores the broken cells.
It heals wounds.
It repairs the muscle you tore from your workout.
It digests the food you ate and turns it into the energy for your long run in the afternoon.

Your body works overtime digesting your dinner and repairing every working thing in your body that has been used over the day.
All while you are sound asleep!

In other words: Your body is a beautiful machine.

Your body is beautiful, don’t let social media tell you otherwise!!!

Or anyone else…

Your body is yours and only yours alone.

Your body is your temple. Treat it accordingly.

It´s the home to your life.

If you´ve been a mother, than it has been the home and beginning of a new life.
It´s given all it has to deliver a baby.
A new life.
A wonderful gifted life.
A beautiful one.

But you are more than your body.
You are an independent mind.
A creative, outgoing, silent, strong, lively creature on this wonderful planet.
You have the power to do whatever you want with your life.
If you put in the effort you can achieve anything.

You can do what you love. Love what you do.

Furthermore you are a lifesaver to someone.
A life-giver.
A savior.
A shoulder to cry on.
Someone to laugh with.
Someone to cry with.
Someone to love with.
Someone to create with.
Someone to just be with.

You are that someone to somebody.

(You´re practically Jesus without even knowing it;-))

And not only to somebody, to many people.
To so many people.
Think of your family, your friends, all the people you know.

You are respected.
You are loved.
You are honored.
You are trusted.
You are looked up to.
You are important.
You are accepted.

You are a memory to someone.

You are a human being.
You have a beautiful miracle as your body.
You are a memory and so much more to someone.
You are a home to a life.
Your life.
You are an incredible, creative, beautiful, driven, ambitious, adventurous, silent and loud human being.
(It´s the side you choose to act on what defines you, so choose well.;-) – Albus Dumbledore)

So please, look after your body.
Love it.
Don´t hate it.
It´s doing it´s best.

shine bright flower quote

Don´t hate yourself.
You are loved and respected.

Don´t be hard on yourself.
You only have limited energy.

I know it´s hard to love yourself.

But think of everything you just read…

doesn´t it convince you?

Doesn´t it convince you, if I tell you that you are beautiful?

Because you are beautiful.

And if loving yourself is too much to ask for, then start accepting what you are and eventually you will be able to love.

And along the way,

please, be softer with yourself.
